Paul Lampe

Project Leader

Paul Lampe is a Senior Constable with more than 23 years in the New Zealand Police. He has been instrumental in creating positive outcomes for whanau/families, children and young people. In 2007 Paul established the youth mentoring programme "Big Brothers Big Sisters of Taranaki". His passion, enthusiasm & dedication to helping our youth that need it most has led to the huge success of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

 

He has built and encourages a team of equally passionate staff. In 2009 after seeing a need in Taranaki he established a new trust called Te Puna Trust which now operates Nurture Taranaki. His work is at the forefront of policing excellence and their Prevention First National Operating Strategy.

Emma Kalin

Programme Supervisor

Raising her own 3 children and with a nursing background in Mental Health and Plunket, Emma understands the challenges and the joys in parenting.  It is this understanding that fuels Emma’s passion for working with whanau in the community and equipping them with the parenting skills and tools they need to raise healthy, happy and resilient children.

Emma sees it as a privilege to be part of the Nurture Taranaki programme and to be championing and encouraging whanau in their parenting roles.

Melissa Waite

Admin Leader

Melissa has a background in primary teaching. Melissa has raised three children and was an active part of their early childhood. She has joined the Nurture Taranaki team as Administrator and she loves to keep everyone organised ensuring that the day to day running of the programme operates smoothly. Melissa is excited to be part of the Nurture Taranaki programme.

Lorna Hobo

Parenting Coach / Kaiāwhina

Lorna-Marie is a mother of two. She has worked with whanau and their pepe in numerous community organisations for many years including parenting education and facilitation and working with parents to support early childhood development and learning through play. 

 

Lorna considers it a privilege to work alongside families and is passionate about the importance of community and support in parenting.  Lorna really enjoys encouraging Mothers’ confidence, supporting and empowering them on their parenting journey.

Jess Reive

Parenting Coach / Kaiāwhina

Jess is a mother of two very adventurous boys and is a qualified teacher with experience across many different age groups. The combination of these two have given her the view on the importance of ‘it takes a village’ approach when raising happy, healthy, confident tamariki. 

 

Jess enjoys working alongside whānau to encourage their confidence, while supporting and empowering them on their parenting journey. Jess’s interest in child development and view on the importance of the first 1000 days in a child’s life has led her into this rewarding job as parent coach / kaiāwhina.

Jay Walker

Dad Coach

Jay is a proud active dad of two young boys. He has experience working with youth and young people in the local Taranaki community. Jay is currently a student counsellor with aspirations to best invest his time and energy into our children, adolescents, and their Whanau  - the future of Aotearoa. 

 

As a Dad Coach, Jay feels honored to share his knowledge and experience with other fathers. He looks forward to sharing with them, the beauty of being a dad and how this is the greatest job in the world. His passion is fueled by being a father and raising his children, to be the best people they can be. 

 

He can provide hands on support for practical help like driver licensing, employment options and even outdoor adventures. He is all about empowering and supporting others to believe in themselves.

 

Ko te ahurei o te tamaiti arahia ō tātou māhi

Let the uniqueness of the child guide us in our māhi.
